Effective July 24, the Board appointed Alan Bash, currently President of the CARVYKTI Business Unit, as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Bash brings commercial and operational experience within Legend and deep knowledge of the CARVYKTI program, which is the company’s CAR‑T cell therapy for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma developed in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson. Following the announcement, Legend Biotech shares fell 5.7% in pre‑market trading. RBC Capital analyst Leonid Timashev lowered the firm’s price target to $59.00 from $63.00 while maintaining an Outperform rating on the stock.
