Campaign Overview

Lenskart announced the launch of “Drishti Ki Daud – Run for Vision”, a virtual run scheduled for the Independence Day weekend on 15 and 16 August 2026. Participants use the Lenskart app to log steps, syncing with any health app, and receive a digital finisher frame to share on social media. The initiative is designed to convert everyday walking or running into a collective effort to improve vision care across India.

Donation Mechanics

The Lenskart Foundation will donate prescription glasses based on steps completed:

  • 20,000 steps – 1 pair of glasses
  • 30,000 steps – 2 pairs
  • 40,000 steps – 3 pairs
  • 50,000 steps – 4 pairs (maximum per participant)

All donations are made through the non‑profit arm, Lenskart Foundation, and participants who meet the thresholds will have their names permanently listed on the foundation’s webpage.

Scale of Need

The release highlights that over 350 million Indians lack affordable vision care, underscoring the social impact focus of the campaign.

Historical Context

“Drishti Ki Daud” builds on Lenskart’s earlier “Run for Frame” movement, which attracted close to one million participants across India, Thailand, and Singapore, unlocking rewards through the Lenskart app.
