Event Overview
At the 19th EU‑China Business Meeting, co‑hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) in Chengdu on 24 October 2026, LivingPHOENIX Regenerative Technology Development (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., a tenant of Tianfu International Bio City, presented the Global Launch Preview of its core product, the POGMENT® Triple‑Helix Biomimetic Collagen‑Based Extracellular Matrix (ECM) medical devices. Founder Dr Qin Xingjiong led the industrialisation team at the event.
Market Reception
The company’s booth recorded 55 European visitors, of which 29 were classified as high‑intent prospects, representing countries such as Switzerland, Spain and France. Attendees praised the functional skincare line SMARTENDER® for its transdermal absorption, anti‑wrinkle and deep‑moisturising performance. Pablo, Executive Director of the China‑Spain Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the superior skin feel, while Dr Qin noted that European customers’ trust in Chinese innovative technology exceeded expectations.
Strategic Positioning
Dr Qin articulated a “born‑global” strategy, positioning Europe as a regulatory and market gateway that, once conquered, would ease entry into the United States, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. The company seeks comprehensive cooperation covering trade, compliance certification, ODM joint manufacturing, product development, scenario expansion and secondary technology development.
Technical Innovation
LivingPHOENIX’s world‑first Triple‑Helix Biomimetic Collagen‑Based ECM overcomes the industry‑wide 121 °C terminal sterilisation bottleneck, doubles mechanical strength and enhances biological functionality. The technology uses green biomanufacturing to source amino acids, aqueous‑phase chemical condensation to construct homologous triple‑helix skeletons, and engineered assembly to form stable ECM networks. The product matrix spans Class II medical devices, cosmetics, Class III aesthetic devices and implantable Class III devices. The Global Launch Preview includes eight Class II medical‑device dressings—sterile patches, liquid dressings, repair dressings, scar gels and gynecological gels—benchmarking against leading international cosmetics‑medical integration systems.
Regulatory Pathway
Approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) is anticipated between November and December 2026. The first product has completed system assessment, supplementary information requests and correction processes, positioning it to fill a domestic market gap for high‑end biomimetic collagen dressings.
Intellectual Property Portfolio
To date, LivingPHOENIX has filed 14 invention patents (8 Chinese, 6 PCT), with four core patents granted and registered as patent‑intensive products by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). Two core invention patents—covering triple‑helix biomimetic collagen self‑crosslinking hydrogels and ECM regenerative materials—have passed preliminary examination in Chengdu and entered substantive review at CNIPA.
Commercialisation and Partnerships
The SMARTENDER® functional skincare brand, launched in November 2025, was validated by 25,000 real‑user tests and high influencer repurchase rates, confirming safety, efficacy and user retention. LivingPHOENIX collaborates with top domestic universities on a National Natural Science Foundation major project on “Biomimetic Collagen Gels” and conducts pre‑clinical studies with Beijing Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital and Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital. Findings have been published in SCI‑Q1 journals such as Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology.
Awards and Recognitions
The POGMENT® project has earned multiple national‑level accolades: Champion of the Startup Group in the 13th Provincial Innovation Competition, Third Place in the Growth Group of the 15th Provincial Competition, semi‑finalist in the MIIT Bio‑Manufacturing Competition (Application Innovation Track), top‑ten placement in MIIT’s Maker China Innovation Competition (Medical Health Special Track), finalist in the Golden Panda Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and inclusion among the Western Top Twelve in the China Plastic Surgery Innovation and Transformation Competition.
International IP Strategy and Future Outlook
LivingPHOENIX is advancing its global IP footprint through the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) in the United States, South Korea and Europe, building legal moats for export. The underlying technology is being extended to high‑value medical consumables such as cartilage repair scaffolds, bone repair materials and cardiovascular patches, aiming to become a core force in the future of regenerative medicine.
Corporate Vision
Dr Qin emphasized that the company is not merely manufacturing a material but establishing a replicable Chinese standard for regenerative material technology, reinforcing China’s transition from a “catch‑up” to a “leading” position in high‑end regenerative medicine.
