Overview
Logitech, in partnership with the non‑profit Aspire For Her, announced that its nationwide, all‑women Generative AI hackathon under the #WomenWhoMaster initiative has earned a Guinness World Record title. Guinness World Records created a brand‑new award category – “Largest Women‑Only Generative AI Hackathon (Multiple Venues)” – to recognize this achievement.
Participation and Reach
The hackathon attracted nearly 129,000 women registered from across India, representing over 15,000 colleges in more than 5,000 cities. More than 60% of the registrations originated from Tier‑2, Tier‑3 and emerging cities, highlighting a broadening appetite for AI skills beyond traditional technology hubs.
Competition Structure
The journey began with an online assessment in which over 26,000 women participated. From this pool, 2,800 participants advanced to simultaneous zonal rounds held across eight regional hubs – Mumbai (MET College, Bandra), Bengaluru (Dayanand Sagar University, Kanakapura), Chennai (SRM Easwari College), Kolkata (Praxis Business School), Noida (Amity University), Pune (ASM College), Hyderabad (KL University) and Visakhapatnam (Bullaya College). The zonal rounds produced 112 finalists who convened at Logitech’s Chennai headquarters for the Grand Finale.
