Facility Details and Operational Status

Lord's Mark Industries Limited has established a new state-of-the-art In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) manufacturing facility at Vasai (East), Maharashtra. The facility admeasures approximately 14,000 sq. ft.

The facility was originally scheduled to commence operations in August 2026 but became operational two months ahead of schedule (June 2026). With this commissioning, the Company's total operational manufacturing footprint has increased from 20,000 sq. ft. to 34,000 sq. ft.

Manufacturing Capabilities and Products

The new manufacturing unit is designed to strengthen the Company's production capabilities and will manufacture:

  • A portfolio of 56 ELISA test kits
  • A new range of rapid diagnostic test kits

The enhanced capacity is expected to improve operational efficiency, support increasing market demand, and strengthen the Company's position in the diagnostics sector.

Research & Development Initiatives

The Research & Development division of the facility has been dedicated to the memory of Late Shri Ratan Tata. The R&D division will focus on:

  • Indigenous molecular biology research
  • Genetic science initiatives
  • Strengthening domestic scientific capabilities

Future Expansion Plans

The Company has outlined additional expansion plans as part of its long-term growth strategy:

Third Facility at Vasai:

  • Dedicated to research for early cancer detection
  • Named in honour of the Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
  • Expected to commence operations from January 2029

Vision for Large-Scale Manufacturing:

  • Establishment of one of the world's largest medical device manufacturing facilities in India
  • Focused on AI-enabled and imaging-based diagnostic devices
  • Reinforcing commitment towards innovation, healthcare accessibility and global competitiveness
