Louvre Abu Dhabi has extended the submission deadline for its sixth edition of the Art Here 2026 contemporary art initiative and the accompanying Richard Mille Art Prize to 14 June 2026.
The initiative invites artists from GCC nations (both nationals and residents) and India (nationals) to propose site‑specific works under the theme “Confluences,” reflecting overlapping histories, cultures and ecologies.
Curated by guest curator Kamini Sawhney, the program is overseen by Dr. Guilhem André, Scientific, Curatorial and Collections Management Director at the museum.
The selected artworks will be commissioned for an exhibition opening in November 2026 at Louvre Abu Dhabi; the Richard Mille Art Prize will award US $60,000 to one artist, with the winner announced in December 2026.
Additional background: Louvre Abu Dhabi, created under an agreement between the governments of Abu Dhabi and France, opened in November 2017; the museum is part of the Saadiyat Cultural District, which hosts multiple cultural institutions.
