Louvre Abu Dhabi announced an extension of the submission deadline for its sixth edition of the Art Here 2026 contemporary art initiative and the accompanying Richard Mille Art Prize to 14 June 2026. The call is open to artists from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) – both nationals and residents – and Indian nationals. The 2026 edition will explore the theme “Confluences”, examining overlapping histories, cultures and ecologies, and is scheduled to open in November 2026. Guest Curator Kamini Sawhney will lead the curatorial direction, while Dr. Guilhem André, Scientific, Curatorial and Collections Management Director, highlighted the historical ties between the Gulf and India as the rationale for the expansion. An independent jury will shortlist works for commission, and the Richard Mille Art Prize will award a US $60,000 grand prize, with the winner to be announced in December 2026.
