LTM Announces BlueVerse™ Industrial AI Lab in Chennai

LTM, described as a Larsen & Toubro Group Company and the Business Creativity partner to the world’s largest enterprises, issued a press release on 23 October 2026 announcing the launch of its BlueVerse™ Industrial AI Lab in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The co‑innovation hub is designed to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption across physical operations and intelligent products, enabling the transition of solutions from pilot stages to full production.

The lab integrates vision AI, robotics, embedded engineering, device testing, digital twins and industrial AI agents into a single collaborative sandbox. It is open to clients and partners for conceptualising and co‑creating future industrial operations. Recognising that many industrial environments are hazardous, noisy, connectivity‑constrained and often run on legacy equipment, the lab allows clients, LTM experts and partners to develop, simulate and validate solutions for both new and brownfield settings.

LTM combines its industrial AI solutions, intellectual property, patents and manufacturing‑focused small language models within the lab to address technical, operational and business requirements prior to deployment. Core capabilities highlighted include:

  • Vision, edge devices and language models to enhance sensing and decision‑making;
  • A dedicated robotics zone for the development and virtual validation of autonomous mobile robots, cobots and drones for inspection, material handling and other shop‑floor use cases;
  • Embedded and device engineering support for consumer electronics and medical technology devices, covering hardware, embedded software, on‑device AI, interoperability, reliability, performance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Gururaj Deshpande, Chief Delivery Officer of LTM, stated that as industrial businesses aim to shorten time‑to‑market, increase operational availability, improve worker safety and strengthen regulatory compliance, industrial AI provides powerful levers, and the BlueVerse Lab offers the environment, guardrails, governance and security needed to build and scale such solutions.

The launch reinforces LTM’s investment in AI, product engineering and industry innovation, bringing together LTM AI experts, domain practitioners, leading technology partners and an ecosystem of industrial AI start‑ups that have collectively scaled more than 100 industrial AI solutions worldwide, helping customers move faster from ideas to measurable business outcomes.
