Lufthansa lifts ITA stake to 90%

Lufthansa Group will raise its ITA Airways stake from 41% to 90% by purchasing an additional 49% for €325 million ($382 million).
The transaction, slated for next month, is expected to close in Q1 2027 pending EU and US regulator approvals.
Lufthansa plans to develop Rome as a hub for South America routes and other destinations, integrating ITA as its fifth network airline.
