Product Launch Collaboration Details

Lupin Limited has entered into a strategic collaboration with LABORATORIOS ERN S.A. (ERN), a Spanish pharmaceutical company, for the launch of Luforbec® (beclometasone/formoterol) 100/6 in Spain. This is a fixed dose combination in a pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI) indicated for the treatment of adult asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Product Information

Luforbec® is indicated for:

  • Regular treatment of asthma where combination therapy (inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting beta2-agonist) is appropriate
  • Patients not adequately controlled with ICS and 'as needed' inhaled short-acting beta2-agonist
  • Patients already adequately controlled on both ICS and LABA
  • Symptomatic treatment of patients with severe COPD (FEV1 < 50% predicted normal) with history of repeated exacerbations and significant symptoms despite regular therapy with long-acting bronchodilators
