Lupin Limited has launched Formoflo-G® MDI, the world's first fixed-dose triple combination metered-dose inhaler (MDI) for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in India. The product received approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) prior to launch.
Product Composition and Usage
Formoflo-G® MDI combines three active ingredients: Glycopyrronium Bromide, Formoterol Fumarate and Fluticasone Propionate. It is designed for the long-term management and treatment of moderate to severe COPD. The product is available as a twice-daily, single-strength fixed dose formulation.
Target Market and Patient Impact
The launch addresses the needs of more than 55 million people living with COPD in India, a condition described as a leading cause of death and disability. The product aims to improve accessibility to effective therapies for respiratory diseases.
