Overview

M3M Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the M3M Group, celebrated World Youth Skills Day by highlighting the impact of its Kaushal Sambal initiative, also known as iMpower Academy for Skills.

Programme Reach and Scale

Since its launch in 2019, Kaushal Sambal has expanded to seven states, twelve districts and nineteen training centres, reaching more than 1,300 villages. Over 15,000 young people have been trained, with 9,000 of them now employed across sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, information technology, construction, retail, logistics, renewable energy, fashion and manufacturing.

Employment Outcomes

The initiative reports a 76 % placement rate and an average monthly income of Rs 14,585 for placed graduates, which translates into collective annual earnings exceeding Rs 160 crore. Women represent 56 % of all trainees, and the programme has supported more than 2,400 aspiring entrepreneurs in establishing their own enterprises.

Success Stories

One trainee, Hajrat, completed a Two‑Wheeler Service Technician course, started his own garage (iGarage) generating approximately Rs 50,000 per month, purchased a taxi vehicle, and has trained 12 additional youths. Another beneficiary, Amanpreet, founded a beauty business earning about Rs 20,000 per month, while Deepika, a female trainee, secured a data‑entry position in Gurugram with a CTC of Rs 16,000 per month.

Leadership

The programme is guided by Dr Payal Kanodia, Chairperson and Trustee of M3M Foundation, who emphasizes bridging the gap between aspiration and opportunity through industry‑relevant skills, entrepreneurship development and placement support.

Impact on Communities

The income generated by the 9,000 employed youths strengthens household earnings, stimulates local economies and contributes to India’s broader economic growth. The foundation’s overall reach across 22 states and over 1,300 villages has positively impacted more than five million lives through education, health, livelihoods, sports and environment initiatives.
