M3M Foundation Expands iMpower Programme to Lucknow

M3M Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the M3M Group, marked the seventh anniversary of its iMpower programme by inaugurating two iMpower Multi‑Activity Resource Centres (iMpower‑MACs) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The centres, located at SBI Colony–Sachivalaya Colony near Engineering College Chauraha and at Vinayakpuram, were opened by Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan, Managing Trustee and President of M3M Foundation, together with Sanjay Sharma, Director – Resource Mobilization & External Engagement of Bal Raksha Bharat (Save the Children India), the programme’s implementation partner.

The new facilities are designed to provide safe, inclusive spaces for children and adolescents and to facilitate access to education, health, nutrition, child protection, social entitlements and other essential services. They address community challenges such as irregular school attendance, school drop‑outs, child labour, risk of child marriage and limited access to essential services.

Service Reach of the Two Centres

  • The SBI Colony–Sachivalaya centre is expected to serve approximately 350 households, covering about 1,650 community members, including roughly 520 children.
  • The Vinayakpuram centre will cater to around 200 households, reaching about 1,200 community members.

With this expansion, the iMpower‑MAC model now operates at eight centres across Gurugram, Chandigarh and Lucknow. Since its launch in 2019, iMpower has grown from a migrant‑focused initiative into an integrated support ecosystem comprising more than 35 iMpower Clubs and Resource Centres. The programme currently connects over 5,000 families, more than 10,000 children and 2,500 women and adolescent girls, and has mainstreamed more than 1,000 individuals through its interventions. Core service areas include early childhood care and education, after‑school learning, nutrition, digital education and facilitation of social entitlements.
