Maaza 50‑Year Anniversary and Special Postal Cover
On National Mango Day, 23 July 2026, Coca‑Cola India and the Department of Posts unveiled a commemorative postal Special Cover to mark the golden jubilee of Maaza®, the home‑grown mango‑based beverage launched in 1976. The cover was formally released in New Delhi by Shri Chirag Paswan, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, in the presence of Col. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Chief Postmaster General, Delhi Circle, along with senior Coca‑Cola India officials, bottling partners, mango supplier Foods & Inns Ltd, and NGO partner CENDECT.
The philatelic design, titled “Celebrating 50 Years of Mango in a Bottle”, depicts orchard‑inspired artwork and the iconic Maaza bottle, symbolising the brand’s five‑decade link to India’s mango heritage. It also recognises the generations of mango‑growing families associated with Project Unnati run by Anandana – The Coca‑Cola India Foundation, highlighting their role in preserving the mango legacy.
Minister Paswan remarked that India has achieved self‑reliance in food production and that strengthening food‑processing infrastructure and market opportunities for farmers is the next priority. He praised Maaza for showcasing the authentic taste of Indian mangoes to millions while supporting farming communities and local economies.
Sundeep Bajoria, Vice‑President – Integrated Operations, Coca‑Cola India & Southwest Asia, emphasized that Maaza’s consistent supply of authentic mango flavour, including Alphonso varieties, has built a lasting connection with generations of consumers and that the brand’s efficient value chain—from sourcing and processing to bottling and distribution—has enabled nationwide reach.
Paritosh Ladhani, Joint Managing Director, SLMG Beverages, highlighted the collaborative ecosystem involving farmers, processing units, manufacturing facilities, truckers, distributors and retailers that underpins Maaza’s market presence.
The Special Cover adds to Maaza’s earlier golden‑jubilee activities, notably the national campaign “50 saal se, sip‑sip mein aam”, and serves as a lasting philatelic record of the brand’s association with India’s national fruit.
