Overview
Maaza®, the iconic mango drink owned by Coca‑Cola India, is launching Maaza Aamontron, a festive installation that brings the traditional Bengali mango‑leaf toran (known as aamra pallav) into the public sphere of Durga Puja celebrations. The installation will be set up at Dum Dum Tarun Dal in West Bengal and will be open to visitors from 14 October to 20 October 2026.
Cultural Inspiration
The initiative draws directly from the aamra pallav, a toran made of mango leaves that Bengali households hang on doorways to signify auspicious beginnings and a warm welcome to guests. Maaza reimagines this cultural symbol as a large‑scale gateway, linking its mango‑flavour identity with a deeply rooted regional custom.
Sustainability Feature
All torans used in the installation are fabricated from compostable material, underscoring Maaza’s commitment to sustainable festive décor and ensuring that the installation’s environmental impact is minimized after the celebrations conclude.
Marketing Outreach
In addition to the physical installation, Maaza will publish a full‑page invitation in a prominent regional newspaper across West Bengal, inviting the broader public to partake in the Pujo festivities.
Executive Comment
Sunainika Singh, Senior Director, Marketing – Nutrition, Coca‑Cola India and Southwest Asia, stated: “Pujo brings in the essence of homecomings, community and the warmth with which Bengal welcomes everyone. The mango leaf toran is a beautiful expression of this spirit, marking auspicious beginnings and extending an invitation to all who arrive. With Maaza Aamontron, we wanted to bring this familiar tradition into the larger canvas of Pujo. We have also explored how sustainable material innovation can be part of the festive experience, considering the life of an installation beyond the celebrations.”
