Mafatlal Industries Limited has commissioned a 4 MWp captive ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power project at its manufacturing facility in Nadiad, Gujarat. The project was developed at an investment of approximately INR 11 crores.
The solar power plant is expected to generate approximately 66 lakh kWh of net usable electricity annually, which will meet a portion of the Nadiad manufacturing unit's energy requirements. This initiative is expected to improve cost competitiveness by reducing energy costs, which remain a key component of manufacturing expenses.
The project reduces the company's dependence on conventional power sources and decreases its carbon footprint, reinforcing Mafatlal Industries' commitment toward responsible business practices and green energy initiatives.
