Magellanic Cloud Limited has submitted a regulatory disclosure regarding its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, receiving a Letter of Acceptance from South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division.
The Letter of Acceptance is valued at ₹6.93 crore and represents the second order received from the same railway division within a week. This follows a previous ₹6.25 crore railway surveillance project award, bringing the cumulative value of railway orders from South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division to ₹13.18 crore.
The contract covers design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of advanced IP-based CCTV surveillance systems across 15 railway stations under the Vijayawada Division. The stations specifically mentioned include: Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Gudivada, Bhimavaram, Narasapur, and Machilipatnam.
The project scope includes deployment of IP-based CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), optical fibre connectivity, networking infrastructure, and associated Signalling & Telecommunication (S&T) works. The execution period is scheduled over the next 12 months.
The disclosure states that the project aligns with the company's strategic focus on expanding its AI-enabled video surveillance, Video Management Systems (VMS), and intelligent public safety solutions across critical infrastructure. The deployment is expected to strengthen passenger safety, enhance operational visibility, and enable intelligent incident management.
Joseph Sudheer Thumma, Managing Director & Global CEO, commented that consecutive orders from the same railway division reflect the company's execution capabilities and built trust. He noted that the railway sector presents significant long-term opportunities for investments in passenger safety, digital transformation, and smart infrastructure.
