Magnet Hospitals announced the launch of its doctor‑led hospital network on Doctor’s Day (July 1 2026) through a press release dated July 8 2026. The network commenced operations with eight hospitals situated in Langford Town, Electronic City, Jayanagar, Arakere, Jigani, Jalahalli, Mahalakshmi Layout and Nagarbhavi, all under a unified platform.

Expansion Plan and Capacity Targets

The company outlined an ambitious growth trajectory, targeting a total of 1,200 beds across Bangalore within the next 24 months. To achieve this, Magnet Hospitals plans to increase its footprint to twelve locations, adding two greenfield projects in Kalyannagar and Varthur. Concurrently, it intends to recruit more than 200 clinicians (doctors and nurses) to staff the expanded network.

Ownership and Governance Model

Magnet Hospitals will be the first Indian hospital network to implement a co‑ownership structure that grants clinical equity to doctors and nurses in the holding company. This model is designed to align clinical decision‑making with patient outcomes and to provide medical professionals with greater ownership and accountability.

Charitable Initiative

Alongside the commercial network, Magnet Hospitals has established the Magnet Foundation, a charitable venture that will provide a total of 15 beds across Bangalore on a charitable basis for economically weaker sections of society.

Leadership Statements

Founder and Managing Director Mr. Dinesh Madhavan emphasized the pillars of Trust, Transparency, Compassion and Clinical Outcomes, stating that the network will leverage Made‑in‑India technologies and medicines to reduce costs while maintaining high clinical standards. Ms. Ashwini Puneet Rajkumar, a prominent film producer and philanthropist, attended as chief guest and highlighted the importance of delivering quality healthcare to the under‑privileged, praising the charitable component of the initiative.
