Manipal University Jaipur Excellence Awards and QS 5‑Star Rating
On 17 September 2026, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) conducted its Excellence Award Ceremony 2026, coinciding with the 91st birthday of Founder Chancellor Dr. Ramdas M. Pai, Padma Bhushan awardee. A total of 376 awards were presented across nine categories, recognising faculty, researchers, non‑teaching employees and support staff for academic contributions, research achievements, professional excellence, long‑standing service and exceptional commitment.
The flagship Dr. Ramdas M. Pai Award for Professional Excellence (9 Box) was conferred on 123 employees. The remaining award categories comprised the Academic Excellence Award, Research Excellence Award, Young Researcher Award, Young Teacher Award, Standing Ovation Award for Longest Serving Employees, Key Enabler Award, Incredible Service Award and Research Track Faculty Award.
University leadership attended the ceremony, including President Dr. N. N. Sharma, Pro‑President Cdr. (Dr.) Anil Rana, Registrar Dr. Amit Soni, Provost Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar and Heads of HR – Ms. Kananjeet Kaur, Ms. Manju Sharma and Ms. Sikha Rana, together with deans, directors and heads of departments. The event also featured cultural performances by faculty and students, underscoring campus community spirit.
In the same ceremony MUJ announced that it had been awarded the prestigious QS 5‑Star Rating. The rating reflects excellence across ten dimensions measured against global benchmarks: Teaching, Research, Online Learning, Employability, Facilities, Good Governance, Environment Impact, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, Academic Development and Global Engagement.
The President, Dr. N. N. Sharma, congratulated the university community for their collective efforts that have driven MUJ’s growth and global recognition.
