Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), a NAAC‑A+ accredited university known for its industry‑aligned online degrees, has expanded its online Master of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communication (MA JMC) by introducing three new‑age elective tracks in the third and fourth semesters.
The first elective, Strategic Corporate Communication and Public Relations, prepares learners for careers in corporate communications, brand management, integrated marketing communication and corporate social responsibility, covering beats of journalism and brand strategy.
The second elective, AI‑Driven Media and Content Creation, responds to the significant shift toward artificial intelligence in media; it equips students with skills in generative AI for content creation, deep‑fake detection, media ethics, digital media marketing and AI‑enabled journalism and content automation.
The third elective, Creator Economy and Digital Influence, is designed for aspiring content creators and digital‑first media professionals, covering social‑media content creation and monetisation, YouTube and Instagram production ecosystems, platform analytics, growth hacking, influencer branding and personal media strategy.
President Dr N N Sharma stated that as the media ecosystem evolves, higher education must keep pace with emerging technologies and changing industry needs, and these electives reflect MUJ’s commitment to equipping learners with relevant future‑ready skills.
Core subjects such as Communication Theories and Models, Reporting & Editing, Advertising Theory and Practice, and Development Communication continue alongside the new electives, ensuring a comprehensive curriculum.
