Marine Electricals (India) Limited has expanded its manufacturing and operational capacity with the launch of its new plant at Goa. The facility was inaugurated as the company's sixth manufacturing facility with a combined floor space of approximately 160,000 square feet.
The new Goa plant commenced operations on 14th September 2026 and will exclusively focus on manufacturing of PTUs (Power Train Units) for Data Centers and Shore Conversion Systems for Ports. This expansion strengthens the company's capabilities in critical power distribution and marine infrastructure solutions.
The facility is expected to achieve its full manufacturing capacity of approximately 800 PTUs for Data Centers per year by March 2027. The new plant will generate employment opportunities in the region across production, engineering, logistics, quality assurance and other operational functions.
The company's existing five fully operational units in Goa and one unit in Vadodara will continue to manufacture LV/MV switchboards and busducts.
