Press Release – June 29, 2026
Mars Pet Nutrition India used its annual Bring Your Pet to Work Day to turn the office and its LinkedIn presence into a pet‑centric celebration. Two adopted dogs, Maya and Mia, now live at the office and are referred to as “Chief Barketing Officers,” “Treat Acquisition Experts,” “Chief Entertainment Officers,” “Chief Executive Floof Officers,” and “Global Leads for Food Detection and Recovery.” Their daily presence is described by Managing Director Manish Syag as a living reminder of the company’s purpose – creating A Better World for Pets – and as a catalyst for joy, connection, and a pause in the work rhythm.
The physical takeover saw pets roaming workstations, sparking conversations, and lifting moods, while the digital takeover had associates replace their LinkedIn profile photos with their pets and assign the whimsical titles mentioned above. Director of People & Organization Veronika Kraus highlighted that such everyday experiences build culture, foster belonging, and reinforce the company’s purpose.
Supporting the cultural narrative, Mars’ Pet Friendly Advantage 2026 Workplace Report, based on a survey of over 16,000 workers across 16 European markets, found that 55 % of respondents would consider changing jobs for a pet‑friendly workplace and 81 % believe pets create a more relaxed office atmosphere. An India‑specific Mars × Calm study reported that 93 % of Indian pet parents say their pets encourage work breaks, 92 % say pets help them unplug from screens, 88 % say pets reduce anxiety and overthinking, and 79 % report a positive impact on mental wellbeing.
Chief Digital Information Officer Jagadeesh Konathala added that he regularly brings his pet to work and sees the day’s activities as a natural extension of a culture where pets are celebrated daily, not merely on a single occasion. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with Mars Pet Nutrition India’s ongoing commitment to integrate pets meaningfully into the workplace, reinforcing a purpose‑led, empathetic environment.
Overall, the event underscores Mars Pet Nutrition India’s strategy to embed pets into its corporate DNA, aiming to enhance employee wellbeing, strengthen talent retention, and exemplify its broader mission of bettering the world for pets.
