Program Launch: Merck Foundation declared Ghana First Lady H.E. Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama as Ambassador of “More Than a Mother” and officially launched the Educating Linda program, providing annual scholarships to 40 high‑performing under‑privileged Ghanaian schoolgirls until graduation.
Healthcare Capacity Building: The foundation awarded 257 scholarships to Ghanaian healthcare providers across 44 critical and underserved specialties, ranging from fertility and reproductive care to oncology and neurology.
Pan‑African Reach: Educating Linda has delivered over 1,500 scholarships to schoolgirls in 21 African countries and distributes essential school supplies and storybooks to thousands of children.
Additional Initiatives: Launch of seven children’s storybooks, eight annual awards covering media, film, fashion and song, and an online health media training program for Ghanaian journalists.
