Merino Industries’ MATECIA 2026 Showcase
Merino Industries Ltd. participated in MATECIA 2026, the four‑day interior and building‑materials exhibition held from 20 to 23 August at Yashobhoomi, Sector 25, Dwarka, Delhi (Hall 2, Booth G1). The company presented a portfolio spanning seven distinct product and solution categories.
The launch highlighted two new variants of the Merino Marine Board range. Marine Board FR+ is a fire‑retardant board engineered to meet European standards, offering lower emissions and enhanced safety. Marine Board Plus provides a one‑panel solution that combines an HMR core with an 18 mm surface layer, eliminating the need for multiple components while delivering higher durability, improved screw‑holding capability, and a refined aesthetic finish.
Merino also gave the first public look at its forthcoming Prakriti “Stories of Nature” collection. The range draws inspiration from Indian flora, fauna, wildlife, and traditional motifs such as Punjab’s Phulkari embroidery. Each design originates from hand‑drawn and hand‑painted artwork, resulting in a unique 1 mm thick panel available in feather‑touch and linen textures, sized 8 ft × 4 ft. Prakriti is positioned as a resilient alternative to conventional wallpaper, particularly for hospitality environments that experience continuous wear.
Additional product introductions included Merino Senses Art by Nature, a pre‑laminated board that mimics natural wood and other organic elements, and a mar‑resistant Feather Touch surface designed for high‑traffic interiors. The company also displayed Merino Armour HPL Facades, marketed under the tagline “Color Meets Endurance”. These exterior cladding panels are engineered to resist weather, UV exposure, climatic shocks, corrosion, graffiti, termites, fungal attack, moisture, impact, and abrasion, with special flame‑retardant grades available for fire‑critical applications.
Flooring solutions featured the Nature Line LVT range, offered in 3 mm glued‑down and 5 mm interlocking formats, each incorporating a 0.5 mm wear layer for durability. Wooden flooring options were shown in multiple grades with thicknesses of 8 mm and 12 mm, while engineered flooring was available in a 14 mm variant. The Merino Restroom range, a pioneering product in its segment, was also highlighted; it has been deployed in major infrastructure projects, including Indian airports and the FIFA World Cup 2025 venues.
Speaking about the exhibition, Mr. Manoj Lohia, Director of Merino Industries Ltd., said that MATECIA provides an opportunity to engage with a design community that appreciates both creative and technical aspects of materials. He emphasized that the showcase reflected Merino’s breadth—from internationally certified safety‑focused boards to nature‑inspired laminates—and that the Prakriti range embodies the company’s philosophy of blending authentic Indian art with contemporary global design.
