Meta Platforms will install software on U.S. employee computers to record mouse clicks, keystrokes, and screen snapshots for AI training.
The tool, named Model Capability Initiative (MCI), will monitor work‑related apps and websites, capturing data to improve autonomous task performance.
The initiative follows a memo from CTO Andrew Bosworth announcing expanded internal data collection under the AI for Work (AI4W) program.
The move raises privacy concerns and may affect employee sentiment but aims to enhance Meta’s AI capabilities.
