On 14 July 2026, MG announced the world debut of two electric concept vehicles at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, marking a milestone in the brand’s more than 100‑year British heritage. The two models – the MG GO! and the MG Cyber Concept – are presented as previews of future production vehicles that combine MG’s historic sporting DNA with contemporary electric‑vehicle technology.
MG GO! Concept
The MG GO! is described as a B‑segment electric hatchback that will enter production in 2027. The concept draws visual inspiration from mid‑20th‑century MG models such as the MGB GT, MG Metro Turbo, MG ZR and MG EX4, employing a retro‑futuristic design language that seeks to create an immediate emotional connection. The vehicle is intended to be “poised, playful and immediately engaging” while standing out in a highly competitive segment. Design work was carried out entirely by the MG Design Centre in London, led by Design Director Carl Gotham, who emphasized that the goal was to create a contemporary, warm and expressive car rather than a nostalgic showpiece.
MG Cyber Concept
The MG Cyber Concept is positioned as a flagship, high‑performance electric SUV in the D‑segment. It is envisioned as a large, versatile vehicle that merges everyday usability with the dynamic character traditionally associated with sports cars. Design cues reference two pivotal chapters of MG history: the EX181 land‑speed record car and the brand’s ongoing spirit of innovation. The concept aims to deliver performance without compromise, offering suitability for urban driving, long‑distance travel and engaging road experiences.
