MGM Hospitality Group (Asia Pacific) Ltd announced the grand opening of MGM Shenzhen Prince Bay on 10 September 2026. Situated on the waterfront of Shekou, Nanshan, the hotel occupies a strategic position at the maritime gateway of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and is linked to the Shekou Cruise Home Port, creating a 60‑minute connectivity circle that links the GBA’s major cities and provides efficient access to global resources and the bay’s scenery.
The property, designed by GP Architects and LTW Designworks, follows a "waterfront garden" narrative expressed in three acts inspired by classic MGM cinema, integrating forested sanctuary, chromatic discovery and a tranquil retreat. Architectural highlights include a dramatic lobby water feature, a sky‑level art installation and a cantilevered tower crown reminiscent of a cruise deck.
The hotel comprises 298 ocean‑view guest rooms and suites ranging from 50 to 364 sqm. Room categories feature 270‑degree panoramic sea‑view rooms, expansive terrace suites, sky suites and a presidential suite, each equipped with floor‑to‑ceiling windows, intelligent in‑room systems, premium bedding and curated bath amenities.
Dining is anchored by five distinctive venues: Yu Hoi Heen Chinese Restaurant, MEET PLUS Yunnan‑Guizhou‑Sichuan Restaurant, Festival All‑Day Dining, The PURPLE Rooftop Sky Bar and the Lobby Lounge. These outlets blend global flavours with local culinary traditions to serve business entertaining, social gatherings and family celebrations.
Event and banqueting facilities total over 3,000 sqm of flexible space, including a 420‑sqm foyer with panoramic harbour views and an 800‑sqm terrace suited for outdoor weddings and cocktail receptions. Additional meeting rooms, boardrooms and VIP lounges support conferences, brand galas and private celebrations.
Wellness amenities comprise a fully equipped Technogym fitness centre, a heated swimming pool with harbour vistas, and an aerobic studio for group classes, yoga and body‑conditioning sessions.

The opening gala showcased a culinary collaboration between chefs Pan Sihui and Yang Dengquan of MGM COTAI’s Michelin‑starred restaurants Aji and Five Foot Road, and Li Yongsheng, General Manager of Yu Hoi Heen Chinese Restaurant at the new hotel. The exclusive menu demonstrated the synergy of MGM’s integrated dining portfolio and celebrated cultural exchange between Macau and Shenzhen.
