Monarch Global Roofing, an American roofing technology company with a commercial footprint in twelve countries, announced the establishment of a large‑scale manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat. The plant houses ten advanced production machines capable of delivering approximately 1,400 square feet of roofing sheet per hour, integrating the company’s proprietary six‑layer Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) hybrid technology.
The flagship product, the CFR Hybrid Roof (also referred to as the CFRP Hybrid Roof), is a six‑layer composite roofing sheet comprising a ceramic nanoparticle coating, dual ASA polymer shields, dual synthetic polymer buffers, and a carbon‑fibre reinforced polymer structural core. Designed and engineered in California, the sheet is heat‑proof, sound‑proof, rust‑free, corrosion‑resistant, fade‑resistant, lightweight, break‑free and requires zero maintenance. It carries a 25‑year warranty—the longest available on any roofing sheet sold in India—and has earned Class B1 fire‑resistance certification under European EN 13501 standards.
Monarch’s entry into the Indian market is scheduled for July 2026, when the CFR Hybrid Roof will become commercially available across the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana through certified installer networks and distribution via local wholesale and retail roofing supply stores. The company highlights that these four states present the most demanding climatic conditions in the country—high UV indices, extensive coastal exposure, prolonged monsoon seasons and rapidly expanding commercial and institutional construction activity—making them an ideal proving ground for the product.
The Bharuch facility joins Monarch’s existing global manufacturing network, which includes plants in São José dos Campos (Brazil), Biñan (Philippines), Stuttgart (Germany) and Hanoi (Vietnam). Locating the plant in Gujarat leverages the region’s established polymer and chemical industrial ecosystem, reducing logistics costs and aligning production costs with Indian market pricing.
By launching a product that has already operated in environments comparable to South India’s coastal salt‑air, UV intensity and monsoon rainfall, Monarch aims to demonstrate that its American‑engineered roofing solution can meet the performance expectations of Indian buyers without the price and lead‑time penalties associated with imports.
