Monarch Global Roofing, an American roofing technology company that has deployed its products in twelve countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Canada and South‑Korea, announced the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat. The Gujarat plant is equipped with ten advanced production machines capable of processing approximately 1,400 square feet of roofing sheet per hour, joining Monarch’s existing global manufacturing network that includes sites in São José dos Campos (Brazil), Biñan (Philippines), Stuttgart (Germany) and Hanoi (Vietnam).
The facility will produce the CFR Hybrid Roof – a six‑layer carbon‑fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite roofing sheet. The roof’s architecture comprises a ceramic nanoparticle coating that reflects up to 35 °C of solar radiation, dual ASA polymer shields, dual synthetic polymer buffers and a CFRP structural core, delivering heat‑proof, sound‑proof, rust‑free, corrosion‑resistant, fade‑resistant, lightweight, break‑free and zero‑maintenance performance. It has obtained Class B1 fire‑resistance certification under European EN 13501 standards and carries a 25‑year warranty, the longest offered on any roofing sheet in India.
From July 2026, Monarch will launch the CFR Hybrid Roof across four South Indian states – Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana – through certified installer networks and distribution via local wholesale and retail roofing‑supply stores. The company highlighted that South India presents the most demanding climatic conditions for the product: the highest UV index in the country, extensive coastal exposure, prolonged monsoon periods, and rapidly expanding commercial and institutional construction markets. Kerala’s over 140 rainy days per year, Tamil Nadu’s coastal industrial zones, Karnataka’s Bengaluru‑driven commercial growth, and Telangana’s industrial and agricultural godown sector all align with the roof’s engineered resistance to UV, salt‑air corrosion, moisture and chemical exposure.
Monarch emphasized that manufacturing the product in India allows pricing against local production costs and eliminates import‑related timelines and margins, underscoring a long‑term market commitment rather than a short‑term test. The press release notes that the CFR Hybrid Roof is the first commercially available product of its kind in India, positioning Monarch as a pioneer in introducing aerospace‑grade material science to the Indian construction sector.
