Motorola India Influencer‑Driven Campaign for Flipkart Big Billion Days

Motorola India, in collaboration with influencer‑marketing agency Idiotic Media, executed a multi‑tier creator deployment for the Flipkart Big Billion Days (BBD) festive sales event. The partnership mobilised more than 800 micro and macro creators across YouTube and Instagram, organising them into five verticals – Viral, Tech, Fashion, Retail and Giveaway – to deliver category‑specific content that highlighted smartphone features and promotional offers.

Over the ten‑day execution period the campaign amassed over 406 million video views and generated more than 3.31 million total engagements (likes, comments, shares). Crucially, it drove over 1 million direct link clicks to Motorola’s product pages on Flipkart, translating the high‑visibility exposure into measurable shopping activity.

The influencer push also expanded Motorola’s social footprint, adding more than 250,000 new followers to its brand channels. Within the peak sale window alone, 140,000 followers were gained, representing a 13.23 % growth in the brand’s social audience over the campaign duration.

Executive Comments

Girish Kumar, Brand & Marketing Lead at Motorola, stated that moving from conventional static banners to conversational marketing with micro‑influencers enabled the brand to cut through festive ad clutter, achieve over 400 million views, and secure 1 million link clicks, marking the highest social media share‑of‑voice growth for Motorola in a single month. Himanshu Singla, Founder & CEO of Idiotic Media, highlighted that authentic, human‑centred storytelling outperforms generic sales banners, helping Motorola build trust at scale and convert casual viewers into an active buyer community.
