Movado Heritage Tempo‑Matic Collection Overview
Movado has announced the Heritage Tempo‑Matic collection, a contemporary reinterpretation of a design first introduced in the mid‑century. The original Tempo‑Matic was the brand’s inaugural automatic‑movement line and was noted for its varied silhouettes; the new Heritage version draws specifically on the 1970s TV‑shaped case that defined a highly expressive period in Movado’s archives.
The collection is built around a distinctive stainless‑steel case that measures 37 mm in width by 41 mm in height with a thickness of 9.45 mm. The caseback displays an archival illustration originally drawn in 1910, further linking the piece to the brand’s design heritage. A dark red vertical‑brushed dial is paired with a 60‑second angled inner dial ring, and the integrated H‑link bracelet adds to the watch’s unique aesthetic. Water resistance is rated up to 50 metres.
Powering each watch is the Sellita SW‑200 Swiss automatic movement, which winds through the natural motion of the wearer’s wrist, echoing the legacy of the original Tempo‑Matic’s automatic capability.
The Heritage Tempo‑Matic line comprises three models: reference 3650264 priced at ₹82,000, reference 3650265 priced at ₹90,000, and reference 3650266 priced at ₹82,000. These models are positioned for consumers who value considered design, traditional watchmaking, and a blend of archival influence with contemporary aesthetics.
The official launch date and retail availability in India have not yet been disclosed. The press release is distributed under an arrangement with NRDPL, and PTI disclaims editorial responsibility for the content.
