Announcement
Mpower’s lived‑experience platform “Mpowered Voices”, an initiative of the Aditya Birla Education Trust, partnered with the modern café brand in good co to host a “Coffee & Conversations” gathering at in good co’s flagship outlet in GK2, Delhi. The event aimed to move mental‑health discussions from formal settings into everyday social spaces where young people naturally meet.
Objectives and Approach
The gathering sought to bring diverse voices together for intimate exchanges on emotional wellbeing, mental health and experiences that are often difficult to articulate. It is built on the belief that sharing personal stories can change perceptions of mental health, foster empathy, challenge stigma and make seeking support feel more acceptable.
Leadership Remarks
Amit Gupta, CFO of Mpower (Aditya Birla Education Trust), stated that stigma is a major barrier and that conversations rooted in real experiences can help people realise they are not alone, especially when held in everyday venues such as a café. Udai Pinnali, CEO of Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality, described coffee as a catalyst for connection and highlighted in good co’s “progressive Indianness” ethos, which embraces open dialogue on traditionally difficult topics and aims to create inclusive spaces for young Indians.
