Overview

Season 3 of the Global e‑Cricket Premier League (GEPL), organised by JetSynthesys, is the largest edition to date, expanding from six to eight franchise teams. The franchise line‑up includes high‑profile owners such as Sara Tendulkar (Mumbai Grizzlies), Peyush Bansal (Delhi Sharks), Nikhil Kamath (Bengaluru Badgers), Sonu Nigam (Kolkata Hawks), Suniel Shetty (Pune Stallions) and others. The tournament carries a prize pool of ₹3.1 crore and is broadcast live on Star Sports Select and Star Sports Khel, streamed on JioHotstar, and makes its international debut in the United States and Canada via Willow TV (FAST platform and direct‑to‑consumer services).

Match Day 7 Highlights

  • Match 1: Hyderabad Rhinos defeated Mumbai Grizzlies by four wickets. Hyderabad posted 70/2 in five overs (Jetha 24* off 11). Mumbai’s chase was anchored by Sachin’s 28 off 11 before Mukesh Dodwani’s unbeaten 38 off 16 secured the win; Dodwani also took a wicket and earned Player of the Match.
  • Match 2: Kolkata Hawks upset league‑leading Delhi Sharks by 50 runs, posting the tournament’s highest total of 89/2 (Aditya 58* off 15). Kolkata bowled Delhi out for 39, with Aditya taking two wickets; Kolkata’s victory moved them into the top‑four.
  • Match 3: Pune Stallions edged Gujarat Wolves by three wickets. Pune’s chase was powered by Koli’s 31 off 12 and Ankit’s 22 off 8.
  • Match 4: Chennai Falcons beat Bengaluru Badgers by two wickets. Deepak scored an unbeaten 40 off 15 and finished with a six and a four in the final two balls to clinch the win.
  • Match 5: Pune Stallions recorded a second win of the day, beating Hyderabad Rhinos by five wickets. Hyderabad were restricted to 66/3; Pune’s openers Sagar (24 off 8) and Anuradh Koli (43 off 17) guided the chase.
  • Match 6 ("El Classico"): Mumbai Grizzlies outclassed Chennai Falcons by four wickets. Mumbai bowled out the Falcons for 43/4, then opened with Jetha (16 off 9) and Davinder Singh (29* off 12) to chase comfortably.
  • Match 7: Bengaluru Badgers survived a thriller against Kolkata Hawks, winning by one run. Bengaluru posted 65/4 (Manmeet Singh 34 off 13); Kolkata’s Golden Kumar made 43* off 17, but Bengaluru held on to finish 64/3.
