Navayuga Engineering earned its second Guinness World Record for building India’s widest underground twin tunnel (22.33 m) on the Mumbai‑Pune Missing Link.
The 13.3 km Missing Link, featuring 10.67 km of 5‑lane twin tunnels, cuts travel time by 30 minutes and eases Khandala Ghats congestion.
Project involved excavating 85 lakh tonnes rock, using 7,600 t steel, 1.1 lakh m³ shotcrete, 2.2 lakh m³ PQC, and 9 million man‑hours.
CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde & Sunetra Pawar, and Navayuga MD Chinta Sridhar inaugurated the tunnel, highlighting Maharashtra’s infrastructure push.
