NHPC Kamala Hydro Project ₹26,069 Crore Approval

CCEA approved ₹26,069.50 crore investment for NHPC's 1720 MW Kamala Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh.
Project to be implemented via JV with Arunachal Pradesh government with 96-month completion timeline.
Government of India to provide ₹4,743.98 crore flood moderation support and ₹1,340 crore infrastructure funding.
Project expected to generate 6870 MUs of energy annually with 8x210 MW and 1x40 MW capacity.
