NHPC Limited has formally notified the stock exchanges (BSE and NSE) regarding the resumption of commercial operations at its Teesta-V Power Station in Sikkim. This disclosure is made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The specific development involves two generating units at the power station:
- Unit #1 (170 MW capacity)
- Unit #2 (170 MW capacity)
Both units resumed commercial generation and were synchronized with the electrical grid on July 13, 2026, at 17:00 hours. The power generation is being conducted according to scheduled power dispatch protocols.
The Teesta-V Power Station has a total installed capacity of 510 MW, comprising three units of 170 MW each. The commercial operation of the third unit (Unit #3) has not yet commenced. NHPC has stated that it will intimate the commercial generation date for Unit #3 separately in due course.
