Strategic Partnership Overview

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for the formation of a Joint Venture (JV) company. The partnership aims to establish large-scale Renewable Energy Power Projects specifically in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The renewable power generated will be supplied for multiple applications:

  • Third-party customers
  • Commercial and Industrial (C&I) consumers
  • Distribution companies (Discoms)
  • Energy exchange trading
  • E-mobility applications
  • Production/usage of green synthetic fuels/chemicals
  • Complete value chain for solar module manufacturing
  • Any other opportunities in the renewable energy sector in Tamil Nadu mutually agreed upon based on techno-commercial feasibility
