The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC), a 100% Government of India-owned enterprise under the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, has announced the e-auction of 459 land parcels owned by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL - Visakhapatnam Steel Plant) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The total land portfolio spans 93,572.21 square yards being offered for outright sale with clear, encumbrance-free government titles, with individual plot sizes ranging from 128.94 square yards to 2,728 square yards.
The land portfolio consists of two primary locations: HB Colony in Maddilapalem features 456 residential MIG/LIG plots in an established urban neighborhood with complete civic and social infrastructure, including 24- to 60-foot concrete approach roads and direct proximity to National Highway 16 (NH-16). Auto Nagar in Gajuwaka includes a prime 2,728-square-yard contiguous parcel in Block 2 located 0.5 km from NH-16 (suitable for commercial and logistics use), along with two residential plots in Block 3.
The competitive bidding process will be hosted on the RailTel E-Nivida e-Procurement platform across two scheduled dates: October 12, 2026 and October 16, 2026. Prospective bidders must complete online registration, KYC verification, and submit an Earnest Money Deposit of ₹2 lakh per plot through the official portal (https://eauction.enivida.com) within prescribed timelines. Quikr India Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as the Transaction Consultant to facilitate the auction process.
This initiative aligns with NLMC's core mandate to monetize surplus land and non-core assets held by Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and government agencies through a structured and transparent framework. RINL is identified as a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise operating under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
