NMIMS Horizon Extension to Undergraduate Programs
On 3 August 2026, SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Deemed‑to‑be University announced the expansion of its NMIMS Horizon initiative, previously limited to management education, to all undergraduate programmes. The rollout covers the Schools of Engineering, Science, Pharmacy and Commerce across all NMIMS campuses.
The university will provide approximately 40,000 undergraduate students with free access to Coursera’s global learning resources, embedding these AI‑focused courses directly into the curriculum rather than offering them as standalone certifications. Student performance in these AI modules will be incorporated into the university’s academic assessment framework.
To support the launch, NMIMS faculty members are undergoing specialised AI training and will deliver the curriculum through a structured, faculty‑led model that includes mentoring, assignments, projects and assessments. This blended approach combines classroom teaching with online resources, enabling students to apply AI concepts within their respective domains.
