Overview

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that bookings are now open for its Summer 2028 itinerary season. The season comprises more than 450 voyages deployed on 20 ships, departing from 25 homeports and calling at nearly 150 unique destinations across 51 countries. The itineraries are designed for deeper shore‑time, with approximately 80% of each sailing spent in port and an average port call exceeding ten hours. Across the season, guests will experience 175 overnight stays and late‑departure options in 53 distinct destinations.

Promotional Offer

NCL is running an End‑of‑Summer Sale that remains active until 18 August 2026. The promotion provides a 50% discount on all cruises and an onboard credit of $750 per stateroom on selected sailings, encouraging early bookings to secure preferred staterooms and value.

Signature Destination – Great Stirrup Cay

The Bahamas‑based private island Great Stirrup Cay will feature the Great Tides Waterpark, which includes 19 waterslides, among them the industry‑first dueling Master Blaster slides, tube slides and splash‑filled attractions suitable for all ages. Families can enjoy dedicated children’s zones, while adults may relax at the exclusive Vibe Shore Club.

New Ship – Norwegian Aqua

Norwegian Aqua will commence its first full summer season offering three‑ and four‑night round‑trip Bahamas cruises from Miami. The ship will complement the Great Stirrup Cay experience with the Aqua Slidecoaster, world‑class entertainment, and treatments at the award‑winning Mandara Spa.

Caribbean Highlights

  • Norwegian Aura – Seven‑day Eastern Caribbean round‑trips from Miami to Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), Tortola (British Virgin Islands) and Great Stirrup Cay. The ship introduces Ocean Heights™, the first open‑air activities complex, plus Adventure Alley, Little Explorer’s Cove and a Teen Hangout.
  • Norwegian Prima – Seven‑day Western Caribbean round‑trips from Galveston, Texas, calling at Harvest Caye, Belize, among other destinations.
  • Norwegian Luna – A special 10‑day repositioning voyage from Miami to New York City in May 2028, with inaugural calls at Aruba, Curaçao and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
  • Norwegian Escape – Alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean round‑trips from Orlando (Port Canaveral) with calls to Great Stirrup Cay, allowing back‑to‑back sailings.

European & Atlantic Deployments

  • Norwegian Jewel – Debuts in Morocco with a 12‑day Canary Islands round‑trip from Barcelona, calling at Casablanca and Agadir. Additional itineraries include an 11‑day repositioning sail between Barcelona and London (Southampton) in May 2028, a nine‑day London‑based round‑trip in September 2028, and Baltic voyages (seven‑, nine‑ and ten‑day) linking London, Copenhagen and Helsinki, plus five round‑trips from Copenhagen visiting Tallinn, Riga and Klaipėda.
  • Norwegian Getaway – Offers 10‑ and 11‑day Northern Europe cruises between London (Southampton) and Reykjavik, Iceland, featuring inaugural calls at Grundarfjörður (Iceland) and Vik (Norway). Later in the season, it will run Baltic Sea voyages with a first turnaround in Helsinki and a maiden call at Klaipėda.
  • Norwegian Dawn – For the first time calls at Zadar, Croatia and Cagliari, Sardinia. The ship will operate 10‑ to 11‑day Mediterranean voyages from Lisbon, Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice (Ravenna), visiting Marseille, Salerno, Koper and Kotor among others.
  • Norwegian Viva – Continues nine‑, ten‑ and twelve‑day Mediterranean itineraries between Rome, Venice, Barcelona and Istanbul, featuring overnight stays in Istanbul and late departures in Santorini and Mykonos.
  • Norwegian Pearl – Provides seven‑day Greek Isles cruises between Venice (Ravenna) and Athens (Piraeus).
  • Norwegian Epic – Operates round‑trip itineraries from Rome with nine‑ to twelve‑day Greek Isles voyages.
  • Norwegian Star – Sails the British Isles and Northern Europe with calls at Belfast, Newhaven (Edinburgh) and Invergordon, Scotland.

Alaska Program

Four ships – Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Jade – will run seven‑day round‑trip Alaska sailings from Seattle’s Pier 66 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with Joy also offering nine‑ to eleven‑day itineraries. Norwegian Jade will operate seven‑day voyages from Vancouver and Whittier, cruising Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier. All Alaska sailings include glacier sightings and optional NCL Cruisetours such as Denali National Park and the Alaska Railroad.

Bermuda & East Coast Offerings

  • Norwegian Gem – Makes its Philadelphia debut in April 2028, offering seven‑day Bermuda sailings with overnight calls at the Royal Naval Dockyard and a visit to Norfolk, Virginia.
  • Norwegian Luna – Provides five‑ and seven‑day Bermuda itineraries from New York City.
  • Norwegian Breakaway – Continues week‑long Bermuda cruises from Boston, adding calls at Halifax, Nova Scotia.

South Pacific & Pacific Islands

Norwegian Spirit will home‑port in Sydney, Lautoka (Fiji), Papeete (French Polynesia) and Honolulu from April through October 2028. The ship’s 11‑ to 13‑day itineraries will visit New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Hawaii, with specific stops at Bora Bora, Moorea, Raiatea, Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Apia and Hawaii.
