Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that bookings are now open for its Summer 2028 cruise season. The season will comprise over 450 voyages deployed on 20 ships, sailing from 25 homeports and calling at nearly 150 destinations across 51 countries.

Itinerary Highlights

  • Port Time Emphasis: Ships will spend roughly 80% of each sailing in port, with average port calls exceeding 10 hours, delivering 175 overnight stays and late departures in 53 destinations.
  • Homeports include Miami, Seattle, Rome (Civitavecchia), London (Southampton) and others, supporting itineraries ranging from 3‑ to 14‑day voyages.
  • Geographic Coverage spans Alaska, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, South Pacific, Northern Europe, the Baltic, and more.
  • Great Stirrup Cay (Bahamas) will feature the Great Tides Waterpark with 19 waterslides, including the industry‑first dueling Master Blaster slides, a Vibe Shore Club, and the award‑winning Mandara Spa. The Norwegian Aqua will debut its first full summer season offering 3‑ and 4‑night round‑trip Bahamas cruises from Miami, equipped with the Aqua Slidecoaster.

  • Norwegian Aura – 7‑day Eastern Caribbean round‑trips from Miami to Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay, featuring the Ocean Heights™ open‑air activities complex and dedicated children/teen spaces.
  • Norwegian Prima – 7‑day Western Caribbean round‑trips from Galveston, Texas, calling at Harvest Caye, Belize.
  • Norwegian Luna – Special 10‑day repositioning voyage from Miami to New York City in May 2028 with inaugural visits to Aruba, Curaçao, San Juan.
  • Norwegian Escape – Alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean round‑trips from Orlando (Port Canaveral) with calls to Great Stirrup Cay.
  • European & Atlantic Deployments:
  • Norwegian Jewel – 12‑day Canary Islands round‑trip from Barcelona debuting Morocco (Casablanca, Agadir); also 11‑day Barcelona‑London repositioning in May 2028 and a 9‑day London (Southampton) round‑trip in September 2028. Baltic itineraries include 7‑, 9‑ and 10‑day voyages between London, Copenhagen, Helsinki, plus five round‑trips from Copenhagen visiting Tallinn, Riga and Klaipeda.
  • Norwegian Getaway – 10‑ and 11‑day Northern Europe cruises between London and Reykjavik during the midnight‑sun period, with inaugural calls to Grundarfjörður (Iceland) and Vik (Norway), plus Baltic Sea voyages with a first turnaround in Helsinki and a maiden call to Klaipeda (Lithuania).
  • Norwegian Dawn – First‑time calls to Zadar (Croatia) and Cagliari (Sardinia) on 10‑ to 11‑day Mediterranean voyages departing from Lisbon, Barcelona, Rome and Venice, covering Marseille, Salerno, Koper, Kotor, etc.
  • Norwegian Viva – 9‑, 10‑ and 12‑day itineraries linking Rome, Venice, Barcelona and Istanbul, featuring overnight stays in Istanbul and late departures in Santorini and Mykonos.
  • Norwegian Pearl – 7‑day Greek Isles cruises between Venice (Ravenna) and Athens (Piraeus).
  • Norwegian Epic – Rome‑based Greek Isles round‑trips of 9‑ to 12‑days.
  • Norwegian Star – British Isles and Northern Europe itineraries with calls to Belfast, Newhaven (Edinburgh) and Invergordon (Scotland).
  • Alaska Program (April‑October 2028): Norwegian Encore, Bliss, Joy will operate 7‑day round‑trips from Seattle’s Pier 66 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; Joy also offers 9‑ to 11‑day sailings. Norwegian Jade will run 7‑day voyages from Vancouver and Whittier, cruising Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier. All Alaska sailings include glacier sightings and optional NCL Cruisetours (Denali National Park, Alaska Railroad).
  • Bermuda & East Coast:
  • Norwegian Gem – Philadelphia debut in April 2028, offering 7‑day Bermuda sailings with overnight calls at the Royal Naval Dockyard and a visit to Norfolk, VA.
  • Norwegian Luna – 5‑ and 7‑day Bermuda voyages from New York City.
  • Norwegian Breakaway – Week‑long Bermuda sailings from Boston with additional calls to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
  • South Pacific & Oceania: Norwegian Spirit will home‑port in Sydney, Lautoka (Fiji), Papeete (French Polynesia) and Honolulu from April through October 2028. It will run 11‑ to 13‑day itineraries visiting New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Cook Islands, Bora Bora, Moorea, Raiatea, Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Apia and Hawaii.
