Award Announcement
Novel Patterns, an AI‑native financial intelligence firm, was honoured with the Best Agentic AI Application award at the second edition of the ET Enterprise AI Awards 2026. The ceremony took place in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and the award recognises the company’s DecisionOS platform for bringing governed AI reasoning to lending decisions.
DecisionOS Capabilities
DecisionOS is described as a decision‑intelligence platform that connects financial evidence, policy, reasoning and workflow to enable AI to move beyond simple task automation across the entire lending lifecycle. The platform offers multiple intelligence layers, including:
- CRM Intelligence – capture, qualification and intelligent routing of every lead;
- Journey Intelligence – dynamic onboarding journeys that adapt to customer context;
- Credit Intelligence – transformation of bank statements, financial statements, credit bureau, tax and salary data into a decision‑ready view with attached reasoning;
- Document Intelligence – classification, extraction and consistency checks for potential tampering;
- Policy Intelligence – conversion of policy intent and circulars into executable, versioned and simulated rules;
- Post‑Disbursal Intelligence – monitoring of financial and behavioural signals to flag emerging borrower stress before missed payments;
- Incentive Intelligence – orchestration of payouts and reconciliation across channels;
- Collateral Management Intelligence – continuous monitoring of asset value, ownership and exposure;
- Partner Portal Intelligence – onboarding, allocation and monitoring of partner ecosystems through a common intelligence layer.
Technical Architecture and Data Scope
The platform is built on a multi‑layer trust architecture that incorporates source‑grounded processing, policy and rule validation, cross‑document reconciliation, confidence scoring and a human‑in‑the‑loop review for exceptions. It analyses more than 400 financial and behavioural indicators and incorporates over 1,000 behavioural risk signals into credit assessments. Proprietary financial ontologies provide domain context to interpret relationships across disparate sources of financial information.
Market Reach
DecisionOS is currently deployed with over 140 financial institutions spanning India, Africa and Southeast Asia. These institutions use the platform to enhance decision capacity while maintaining accuracy, explainability and defensibility before regulators, auditors and credit committees.
Executive Commentary
Ashwani Arora, Chief Executive Officer of Novel Patterns, stated that banks and NBFCs adopt AI not merely for speed but for the ability to improve decision capacity while remaining accurate, explainable and defensible. He highlighted that the platform ensures every AI output carries a traceable record of how the decision was derived, satisfying regulatory and audit requirements.
Ashutosh Singh, Chief Financial Officer & Head of Products, received the award on behalf of the company, underscoring the strategic importance of governed AI in lending.
Significance
The award marks a milestone for Novel Patterns, reinforcing its ambition to build a connected intelligence layer for financial decision‑making that augments human judgement rather than replaces it. The company positions DecisionOS as a solution that enables AI to handle complex lending scenarios while retaining human authority for final judgement, ensuring outcomes are explainable, auditable and trustworthy.
