The Ministry of Power, Government of India, via letter No. 8/5/2025-Th.II dated 28th July 2026, conveyed the President of India's approval for extension of Shri Gurdeep Singh's (DIN: 00307037) re-employment as Chairman & Managing Director.
The extension is effective beyond the completion of his current tenure on 31st July 2026.
The new tenure period is six months starting from 1st August 2026.
The extension is on a contract basis and will continue until whichever is earliest: completion of six months, assumption of charge by the regular incumbent, or until further orders.
