NTPC Declares 5MW Bhilai Floating Solar Commercial Operation

Key Development

NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture company of NTPC Limited, has successfully commissioned the third and final module (Island-2) of 5 MW (2 X 2.5 MW) of its Bhilai Floating Solar Power Station on June 24, 2026. Accordingly, the entire 15 MW Floating Solar Power Station has been declared under commercial operation with effect from June 24, 2026.

Capacity Impact

With this commissioning, the total installed capacity of NTPC group now stands at 90,904 MW and commercial capacity at 89,824 MW.
