NTPC Limited's Western Region-I Headquarters in Mumbai is hosting the Mumbai Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27 on September 17, 2026, at Bharat Ratnam – Mega CFC located in SEEPZ Special Economic Zone, Andheri (East). The quiz competition, themed "Anything and Everything from the World of Business and Management," targets teams of two students currently pursuing Engineering or Management programmes, with over 100 teams expected to participate.
On-the-spot registration will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Gate Nos. 4 & 5, 6th Floor, requiring participants to carry valid college ID cards. There is no registration or participation fee, and institutions may nominate multiple teams. The event format includes an initial Written Round followed by an On-stage Multimedia Regional Finale for the top six teams, with the top two teams qualifying for the National Level competition.
Prize money for the Mumbai Regional Round includes ₹60,000 for first prize per team, ₹40,000 for second prize, ₹20,000 for third prize, and ₹8,000 each for 4th-6th place consolation prizes. National Level prizes are significantly higher with ₹1,00,000 for first prize, ₹60,000 for second, ₹40,000 for third, ₹16,000 each for 4th-6th place (Consolation Prize I), and ₹8,000 each for the remaining 12 teams (Consolation Prize II).
Travel reimbursement for the Regional Round is restricted to AC 3-Tier Train Fare, while National Level participants receive Economy Class Airfare reimbursement plus boarding, lodging, and local conveyance provided by NTPC. This student engagement initiative, organized since 2004, represents one of NTPC's flagship programs aimed at fostering intellectual growth and competitive spirit among engineering and management students across India.
