NTPC Limited, India's largest integrated power utility, has announced the Mumbai Regional Round of its national-level NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27. The event is specifically targeted at students pursuing Engineering and Management programmes and aims to encourage knowledge, curiosity, analytical thinking, and healthy competition among young students.
The Mumbai Regional Round will be held on September 17, 2026, at Bharat Ratnam – Mega CFC, Gate No. 4 & 5, 6th Floor, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone, Andheri (East), Mumbai – 400096. This year's quiz theme is "Anything and Everything from the World of Business and Management," testing participants' knowledge across various business and management areas. Each competing team must consist of two students.
The competition format includes an initial Written Round followed by an On-stage Multimedia Regional Finale for the top six teams. The top two teams from the Mumbai Regional Round will qualify for the National Level competition. Prize money for the Regional Round includes ₹60,000 for the winning team, ₹40,000 for the runner-up, ₹20,000 for the third-placed team, and ₹8,000 each for teams securing fourth, fifth, and sixth positions. Additional audience prizes will be awarded to students attending the quiz.
At the National Level, significantly higher prizes are offered: ₹1,00,000 for the winning team, ₹60,000 for the second-placed team, and ₹40,000 for the third-placed team, with consolation prizes for other qualifying teams. There is no registration or participation fee, and institutions may nominate multiple teams. Students can register through the designated registration link or by sending details to electronquiz2025@ntpc.co.in, with the registration deadline set for September 15, 2026.
This initiative has been running since 2004 as part of NTPC's corporate engagement efforts with the student community, providing young minds with opportunities to enhance their knowledge, analytical abilities, and competitive spirit.
