Operational Update

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared commercial operation for additional capacity at its Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Project Details:

  • Second part capacity: 73.06 MW
  • Third part capacity: 80.88 MW
  • Total additional capacity declared: 153.94 MW
  • Effective date: 1st October 2026 at 00:00 hours
  • Project location: Bikaner, Rajasthan

Project Context:

The Kalasar Solar Energy Project is part of the 650 MW solar component under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited and a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

Capacity Impact:

NTPC Green Energy Limited Group:

  • Commercial capacity increases to: 11,058.57 MW
  • Installed capacity increases to: 11,212.51 MW

NTPC Limited Group:

  • Total installed capacity: 91,456 MW
  • Total commercial capacity: 90,376 MW
