NTPC Green Energy Declares 6.3MW Wind Project COD

NTPC Limited has submitted a regulatory disclosure on behalf of its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), regarding the declaration of commercial operation date (COD) for a wind energy project.

The disclosure announces that the second part capacity of 6.3 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project has been declared on commercial operation. The project is located in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat, and is owned by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited and a stepdown subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

The commercial operation is effective from 00:00 hours on 13th September 2026.

Capacity Impact

With this addition, the current commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group increases to 10,836.56 MW. The total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group will increase to 10,842.86 MW.

For the broader NTPC group (NTPC Limited and all subsidiaries), the total installed capacity now stands at 91,086 MW, and the commercial capacity stands at 90,006 MW.
