NTPC Patratu Unit 2 Declares 800 MW Commercial Operation

Key Operational Update

Unit #2 (800 MW) of Patratu STPP Phase-1 (3x800 MW) has been declared on Commercial Operation effective from 00:00 Hours of 25th June 2026. The unit belongs to Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

Capacity Impact

With this declaration, the total installed capacity of NTPC group now stands at 90,857 MW. The commercial capacity of NTPC group now stands at 89,777 MW.
