NTPC Signs Non-Binding Nuclear MoU with EDF

NTPC Limited signed a non-binding MoU with Électricité de France (EDF) to explore cooperation in developing new nuclear power projects in India.
The MoU establishes a framework for feasibility assessment, including evaluation of EDF's EPR technology, localization opportunities, and economic aspects.
This initiative aligns with NTPC's strategy to expand into clean energy and contribute to India's long-term energy security.
NTPC currently operates over 89 GW capacity with 32 GW under construction, targeting 149 GW by 2032 including 60 GW renewables.
